IHS Romania participation in the World Urban Forum 4, Nanjing, China

Urban competitiveness forces city councils simultaneous to compete and to collaborate globally. This requires to rethink the roles of national and local governments: What do cities need from countries? What do countries need from cities? To explore this new direction, defined by the two questions, within the WUF4 IHS Rotterdam organised the networking event in partnership with IHS Romania and the IHS Alumni representatives all over the world.

A series of training events on Alternatives to forced evictions: sustainable settlement strategies, How to design and apply a safety index for the city? and How to use negotiation and participation to add value to integrated city development strategies? completed the IHS participation to the WUF4.
