Approval of Tourist Marketing Strategy – Oradea Historic Centre

Considering tourism as a dynamic industry, generating economic and social benefits, Oradea City Hall set the goal of increasing the role of the city in the tourism industry, by highlighting its historic centre. The tourism marketing strategy, elaborated by HIS Romania within the project Hist.Urban: INTERREG IIIB CADSES - Phare/2004/016-772.05.02, offers the instruments that would enable the tourism sector to build its competitive advantages through development of a new generation of tourism experiences that would attract visitors in the local cultural diversity protecting the integrity of the environment.

Together with the tourist marketing strategy, Oradea Municipal Council approved the establishment of the Inter-department Coordination Office for Programmes and Projects in the Historic Centre, and of the Tourism Strategic Committee, including representatives of local administration, private sector, cultural and religious institutions, residents and NGOs.
